Show High School Notes (Contributed) Thrills! Shivers! Gleeful laughter ;.nd shouts to one another! Excited talking! Enough noise to deafen one! What does it mean? School has begun! No fair. The freshies have been over here two years and so are not as meek and frightened as they should be. What shall we do? Ah, .ve have it! Lets take it out on .the seventh grade. So when a seventh trader peeks their head out of their door, you can hear yells from every quarter. "Say, you! Get back in that room. What do you mean coming com-ing out here with us? Get .back there, I say. An assembly was called Wednesday, Wednes-day, with Principal Heaton in charge. He said that there are many more pupils registered this year than last, and because of this we hope to have a better school year. Of course we will. ' To start the assembly right, we had a saxophone solo by Mr. Baker. With Mr. Heaton acting as chairman, chair-man, the nominations were then in order for the Student Body Officers. Popperinos President, Bill Cochrane; vice-president, vice-president, Mildred Killam; secretary, secre-tary, Phyllis Levi; treasurer, Miss Uager; Athletic manager, Thomas James; Yell master, Tom Schow; Assistant yell master, Ralph Tanner. Boosterials Max Root, Delia Kirk, Alice Ward, Mr. Baker, Floyd Patterson, Mabel Bradfield and John M. Williams were nominated for the respective offices mentioned above. This is expected to be a keen election elec-tion this year. If we escape with no ties, the election will probably be won with one or two Votes. The name of Milford "high school is being sounded all over, and because be-cause of this there are many students stud-ents from many towns and cities here to go to our school this school year. Our school will be well represented represent-ed tomorrow night at the Fruit Festival Fes-tival Dance given by Minersville High school. |
