Show Alexander Boyter Goes to Reward Alexander Boyter, familiarly known to his host of friends in this section as "Scotty," died in a Salt Lake hospital Wednesday of this week from cancer, after being confined con-fined in the institution for two weeks. The body arrived in Milford yesterday afternoon and was ta! n lo Beaver where burial will take place Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. Funeral services will be under auspices of Albert Pike Masonic lodge No. 14 of Milford, of .vhich order he was a charter member. mem-ber. Mr. Boyter is survived by seven children, four daughters and three sons. The daughters are Mrs. Geo-rgene Geo-rgene Beaumont of Beaver, Mrs. Rose Nonsonger of Tintic, Miss Mary r.nd Miss Ritta Boyter of Beaver. The sons are George, Carl and Alexander, Alex-ander, jr., all of Beaver. He is also survived by a brother, James Boyter, of Milford. His wife died about twelve years ago. "Scotty" Boyter had a host of friends in this county. He was a mason by trade and had helped in construction of many of the buildings build-ings in this section. He came to this country first in 18G2, from Dundee, Scotland, and joined the Union army, serving four years in the Civil war. He was mustered out in Ariona, and returned to his native land for a visit. In May, 187G, he returned to the United States, ac-ompanied ac-ompanied by his brother, and set-:led set-:led in Beaver county, having resid-;d resid-;d here since that time. He was leventy-seven years o age at the time of his death. |
