Show Young Elder Leaves For British Mission Elmer D. White left Saturday of last week for Salt Lake City where he will take a missionaries' training course for ten days before leaving for the British mission. Members of the family accompanied him, as far as Milford. His mother, Mrs. Alice G. White, will go to Salt Lake a few days before his departure. A farewell fare-well party was given at the opera house Friday evening of last week in his honor, which was largely attended at-tended by people of both wards. A splendid purse was. presented the young missionary to help him in his work and a good time was enjoyed by all present. The evening was spent with social time and dancing. Ice cream was served by the Relief Society ladies of the east ward. Another An-other party was given in his honor by Miss Martha Hurst at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Wil-liam Hurst Wednesday evening of last week. Fourteen of his girl and boy schoolmates were invited. The evening was spent with a jolly time playing "bugs." Mr. White won the guest prize, a beautiful neck tie. Miss Florence Johnson won ladies' high score and received a pretty rubber apron. Ernest Pearce won I gliosis high score which was a fine deck of cards..
