Show LOCALS and PERSONALS Ray Murilnck, son of Mr. and Mrs. 0. A. M unlock of Beaver, returned Tuexlay of last week from Europe, where he spent nearly two years in the mission fields for the Latter Day Saints church. Mrs. Glenn Hanar of Ruth, Nev., who ha been here for some time visitiutf her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stirling;, undewent a minor operation op-eration at the Milford Hospital Saturday. Sat-urday. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Fritgerald of Provo, who have been spending a few weeks at Los Angeles, spent Sunday here. They were the evevning quests Sunday niht at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stirling and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Frampton. They left Monday afternoon for their home. Mrs. Nancy Whornham spent several sever-al days last week with Mr. and Mrs. 1. L. Griffiths. She returned to her home at Beaver, Friday evening. Miss Mildred Hutclu'ngs, City Librarian Li-brarian at Beaver, spent the week end here with Miss Hattie Whornham. "Hold on, young man; stop right there," exclaimed the ruralist to W. F. Miller, salesman of the Telluride Power company. "You can't make no fool out of me by tellin' that you can give heat for u cook stove and ice for the ice box over the same wire. You get right out of here." Ladie's Aid of the M. E. church will meet Thursday afternoon, Sept. 8th at the home of Mrs. Foster Dewey. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Cottrell, accompanied accom-panied by LuZene Jennings, and Miss Etta Devine will leave Friday morning morn-ing for Provo, where Mr. Cottrell will attend the Provo Athletic meet. Mrs. Cottrell and the girls will go on to Salt Lake City, where the girls will enter the Westminister College for this years' work. |
