Show Ff GARRY LAD HAS CLOSE CALL SUNDAY IS STRUCK BY AUTO AND KNOCKED DOWN; HURTS NOT SERIOUS Dan McGarry, age 6, and son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. McGarry of the Milford Hotel, narrowly escaped serious seri-ous hurts last Sunday evening, when j he was struck by an automobile and thrown to the ground. Dan came out of the Orpheum theatre thea-tre and went tn rough the line of cars parked just in front. On coming out from the cars, he failed to notice an oncoming auto driven by G. R. Wil- j cox. Mr. Wilcox tried to avert hit- i ting the lad but only succeeded partially. par-tially. A fender gave the boy quite r. blow and knocked him down. i Mr. Wilcox immediately took him to the hotel and summoned aid. It was found that the chief injuries sustained sus-tained were skinned arms and legs, which though painful, were not serious. seri-ous. It was thought at first that the boy had received a broken leg from the nature of the bump he got. |
