Show . l.'.i.K-DAY SEMIilONS I3CLSSKO BY PROF. J. FRANK DAI Two weeks ago we used the Prest o acquaint the public with a prob-:em prob-:em that is at present a matter o concern to the board of education. At that time we asked, the citizenship of the county to give us an expression expres-sion of approval or disapproval of the plan then suggested. Since then, we have heard from two or three ta-oayers ta-oayers on the subject. My opinion is. that no change, or new idea will work out practically unless it meets wi ll the approval of a fair percentage percent-age of the public. Consequently we are anxious to hear from you. Speak or write to your board members or me. The half-day plan has been in use at Logan for several years. The school officials of that city say that indents appear to do as well with a half day school as with a fail clay school, both running the same length of time. It is hard for me to understand how this c?n be solved. Y'et, if the half-day school could be run three or four months longer than the full day school, it sPems to me probable, that, the students might do better work under the half-day plan than under the full day plan. |
