Show KIND WORDS CIA'B Eleven business men of Milford, gathered around the table at the Milford hotel, Wednesday noon and discussed various matters of interest inter-est to the town. Jo. Kinney was appointed chairman chair-man in the absence of the regular. C. G. Haskell was the first speaker. speak-er. He said he had traveled all over the western' part of the United States from Texas to the ocean, and from Mexico to Canada. 'most of the time as an employe of the U. S. Agricultural Agricul-tural department in the irrigation engineering division; and nearly all the time he was studying soils climate cli-mate and water conditions After this exhaustive study and: Investigation, In-vestigation, he came to the conclusion conclus-ion that the Milford Valley offered the best opportunity in good fertile lands with cheap water, of any place in the west, and now, after having lived here for a year or more, and improving im-proving his own soil, he was more than ever convinced that he had made no mistake. He believed that there was no better alfalfa seed territory ter-ritory in the world than this valley, andi that this was the ideal dairying country. He advocated the organisation organi-sation of a company to develop small tracts of land .here, claiming that upon the development of the agricultural resources depended the future prosperity of the valley. Other speakers followed in the same line. All agreed that we must have an organization to push the matter along so a meeting was called for the purpose of organizing a Booster Club The meeting is to be held in the office of-fice of the Milford Realty company, at 8 p. m., Friday, September 22.
