Show JANE HANKS W1NSA MEDAL To little Jane Hanks, a student of Angeles Mesa school, has come the joy of winning the first prize gold medal awarded at the Los Angeles Eisteddfod contest for piano playing play-ing of students under 8 years of age. Little Jane has just recently corns with her parents from Milfcrd. Utah, to live in Los Angeles to pursue h-r musical education, and expects to be a permanent resid'-nt of Angeles Mesa, her parents having purchas'-d property on .Mesa drive for their new home. Jane had her firs! taste of r!iool work this S-ptenile-r and h.-r pi.-ino work started shortly a-'u-r. In both ; subj.-rts she has proved an apt pti pil. ThoiiKh only seven yar of jig.-sh jig.-sh has playfd for several musicians and critics who have spoken mo t highly of her phiying. She h:m rr-cently rr-cently appeared on several program- given by her teacher, Miss Halesia B. Hoffmeister, as well as on the en-terlainment en-terlainment given by the Free Lane. Art league in May. at the McDowell club. She will play with other winning students at the final Eisteddfod con -if'st. June G. and on Wednesday, Juno at an ent-rtainment at the Knox ; Presbyterian ( burr::. (;,, Monday evening. eve-ning.
