Show UTAH'S GREAT IRON DEPOSITS OPTIONED AT FOUR MILLION An option calling for $4,000,000 to be paid to- the Excelsior Iron company com-pany has been closed with a strong eastern syndicate, covering extensive iron deposits in Iron county. The names of the proposed purchasers have not yet been made public. .Back of the Excelsior company is the Walker Wal-ker Brothers estate and President J. R. Walker has confirmed the story. sto-ry. These holdings adjoin . extensive acreage owned by the Colorado Fuel & Iron company. The district never has been active. U. S. geological survey sur-vey made'a 300,000,000 estimate of the tonnage in the district, much of which is said to be comemrcially valuable val-uable iron ore. Some of the deposits are high grade. Only a few miles from the iron mountains, are large coal deposits, with measures said to be of good coking quality.
