Show TWO GIRLS ARE DROWNED Word was received here this morn-.ng, morn-.ng, by Lula Germo, chief operator at the telephone offices, from St. George, that Miss Hilda Lightner, of Minersville, and Miss Jessie Tolbert, of Panguitch, were drowned in the river late yesterday afternoon, while swimming. Miss Tolbert noticed that the Lightner Li-ghtner girl was in trouble and went to her assistance, and they were both caught in a whirlpool and drowned. The bodies were rescued late last evening and the burial will take place at St. George. Both girls are well known here, having worked in this city for some little time. Miss Lightner is a cousin of Miss Beth Bowen, and at one time was an employee em-ployee of the Beanery. . |
