Considerable new track material has arrived at Islen and will be used in the vicinity of Big Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Brockoff, Chef and Fry Cook returned from their sixty day vacation and resumed their duties with Rolla Bishop's outfit. out-fit. Rolla Bishop-tried to get to- Salt Lake last Saturday without a pass. He was put -off at Uvada. He later wired to have his pass sent to him by one of his men. He had left it on his desk. Rolla Bishop will attend' the Safety First meeting to be held in Salt Lake September 19th. An up-to-date steam heating plant has been recently installed in the sleeping quarters of the Heislet Construction Con-struction company officers quarters. The plant was installed under the supervision of General Superintendent Superintend-ent Porter. There was a lot of good milk-wasted milk-wasted on some of the birds of today when they were babies. Eh, Dan? Engineer McPhillips passed' thru Islen on No. 4 last Monday en route to Caliente. Conductor Latourret and crew spent last Monday :in Islen unloading unload-ing material for the new bridge work now under way at that point. |
