Mr. Washburn for many years was superintendent of schools in Duchesne and Emery counties. m m m Grain shipments to the Ogden and eastern elevators from the north and northwest average from seventy-five to 100 carloads per day, according to figures from the federal grain inspection inspec-tion office. The greater part of the grain arriving in Ogden is being stored stor-ed in the elevators of the large and small concerns of the city. Jones, Southern Pacific brake-man, brake-man, suffered the loss of his right leg under the wheels of a freight train at Carlin, Nev., at 6 o'clock Thursday morning, according to the report received at the office of Superintendent Sup-erintendent E. L. King. It is said that Jones was attempting to board the caboose of the train as it was leaving.the Carlin yards, when he lest his hold and fell beneath the wheels.
