Show WOOLEY TAKES A LEAD IN CONTEST The finding of nineteen ballots in Storrs precinct In which the vote on judge had not, been counted and which were all for Dilworth Woo-lley Woo-lley has almost made certain the result re-sult of the contest now being conducted con-ducted before Judge P. C. Evans of Salt Lake. There is no explanation, for the failure of the election judges jud-ges to count these ballots as there were fifty-three cast and that number num-ber was counted of all but the candidate can-didate for judge. On these there were but thirty-four counted. At noon today the two candidates were exactly even except for a few ballots bal-lots which the judge had under advisement ad-visement and precincts In which one side or the other had expected a decided de-cided gain had failed to change matters mat-ters materially. During the early afternoon. Judge Chrlstensen gained gain-ed one vote and then Mr. Woolley gained two. It was neck and neck and anybody's race. Then came the Storrs precinct and the big Woolley gain. It is hardly probable that Judge Christensen will be able to overcome the lead thus gained in the few ballots yet to be canvassed. Price News-Advocate |
