Show Mrs. Ed, Denny left Friday night I of last week for Salt Lake, to be with j Martin Skinner, w ho is in the city ; to have his knee treated, which was I hurt some time ago. It is thought that he will have to wear a plaster i cast. The High School domestic art ex-I ex-I hibit at the Primary bazaar under the direction of their teacher. Mrs. j Kinney, was excellent. Since the , sewing began up to the time of the exhibit, one hundred and ten pieces j have been made, among them are i several serge dresses, hand embroid- ered, and lace work. 1 i Mr. and Mrs. Eb. Tanner returned return-ed home from Salt Lake City Fri-1 Fri-1 day afternoon. They were accompanied accompan-ied by their son. Clyde, who has been in the L. D. S. hospital for the 1 past nine weeks. Master Clyde has been through a great deal since he left home, but we are glad to state that he i-j looking fine and gaining his strength quite fast. Mr. and Mrs. Faye Hickman went 'o Greenville Monday-to attend the wedding dinner given in honor of Mrs. Hickman's sister, Miss Gertrude Williams, who was married, Friday, December 23, to Gus Easton of Greenville. I Miss Caroline Matheson of Beaver, i was united iu marriage to Mr. E E. I Hales. Wednesday evening at seven o'clock. Dr. J. F. McGregor per-; per-; formed the ceremony at the home of ! the bride's mother, Mrs. Caroline j MaJtheson. The happy pair left im-j im-j mediately after the ceremony for Milford. Mrs. Hales has been on the telephone exchange at Beaver for years and for the past two years has been chief operator. She is a fine i young lady and will be greatly mis-jsed. mis-jsed. Congratulations to the newly- weds. i ' Mrs. Phil Orwin and daughter, j Mercy, returned Sunday night from ; Salt Lake City, where Mercy has j been in the Holy Cross hospital for the past two weeks, recovering from an operation for appendicitis. She is feeling fine and is very glad to be at home again. She says everybody was so kindi and good to her, some sending her flowers and messages of good cheer, and others calling to see her, that it was only a pleasure 'to be sick. Mrs. Orwin spent a few days, while in the city, with Mr. and Mrs. Steve Singleton, formerly of here. |
