Show Senator Capper of Kansas, who is good authority on the subject, states that this country is rapidly being drained of is livestock, and that with in a year Ithe shrinkage of livestock on the farm has been enormous, being be-ing placed at two hundred and fifty million dollars by the department of agriculture. The entire country now has fewer cattle by one-third than it had twenty years ago. and yet during dur-ing that time the population of the country has increased by leaps and bounds. All livestock is low in price now, but the man who is engager: in business and can hold on for a few years, will reap a. golden harvest, for it is inevitable that prices must advance. |
