Mr. Morris returned yesterday yester-day from a visit to the property situated situ-ated in Beaver county For the last 200 feet the drift which is being pushed to its intersection intersec-tion with the Galena fissure has been following a strong vein about six feet wide. From the Galena fissure fis-sure considerable good ore in the past has been mined from a vertical verti-cal shaft. In order to obtain adequate ade-quate drainage and greater depth, the company in doing the present work. Mr. Morris believes that the objective of the fissure will be cut in from thirty to forty feet. As the advance is being made at the rate of three feet daily, it is believed that the vein can be reached In two to three weeks at the most. The formation, said Mr. Morris, yesterday, appears to be very favorable favor-able to mineralization. The vein is filled from wall to wall with decomposed decom-posed limestone containing some silver-lead sulphides and carbonates. Operations In the Beaver Copper mine are making good progress, according ac-cording to Mr. Morris. Work has been started on the 475 level In a drift leading to the Wassatch fault one of the principal fissures in the district. In the Black Rock mine, adjoining adjoin-ing the Beaver Copper, a strong body of copped ore has been exposed.
