Thursday night before his Cepar-ture, Cepar-ture, Mr. and Mrs. Terry were entertained enter-tained at the Union Pacific station dining room by the other members of the faculty. Friday night they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Barnoim. Mj W. F. Johnson succeeds Mr. Terry as principal of the high, schooi Mr. Johnson has been principal of the grade schools for the past year md a half, so that he needed to only move his office a short distance. The other members of the high school faculty remain the same. Tuesday, April 1, was another triumph tri-umph for modern education. In the days of long ago, and not so1 long ago students were apt to lose their control con-trol and spend the day in aimless riftming about town and taking excursions ex-cursions into the country. Last Tuesday, Tues-day, all the students reported for work and stayed at school throughout through-out the day. A few students tried some harmless pranks, but these did not in anv wav interfere with tile routine of the day'.s, work. It was the opinion of the teachers that April 1st was one of the most successful days of the school year in students' preparations and application appli-cation to work. The Parent-Taachers' association is to meet Friday night, April 4. Instead In-stead of the regular business meeting meet-ing there will be a specially prepared program. Among the numbers will be a dance by the high school girls, un-' der the direction of Miss McKay, and a ine-act play. Mahalie Sherwood, Margaret Easton, Alberta Edwards and Garnetta Clements will present the play, The two little Sweet girls from the grade school will sing a duet, and there will be other parts to the evening's entertainment. All Barents and teachers are urged to attend. A large number of .students attended at-tended the Beaver Junior Prom.. The hall was beautifully decorated to represent re-present a tropical jungle. The absence ab-sence of the electric lights disappointed disap-pointed the Beaver juniors and their guests, but the dance was successfully success-fully carried out. |
