The W.C.T.U. met at the home of Mrs. R. S. Ramsey, Wednesday aftei-noon. aftei-noon. Mrs. Allan Hedges returned Wednesday, Wednes-day, from a three week'9 visit in Salt Lake. Green and John Benton are visiting friends, for a few weeks, in Barclay, Nevada. Cameron Arrington, wife and baby, went to Salt Lake Wednesday for a few days' visit. Mrs. C. T. Woodbury and baby arrived from Salt Lake Wednesday, after several weeks' visit with friends and relatives. Mrs. J.W. McAllister returned a few days ago, from Goodsprings, Nevada, where she has been visiting friends and relatives. A nine and one-half pound boy arrived the first of the week, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Fulton, of the south end of the Project. Mrs. McGuire, of the Project, left a few days ago for the Imperial Valley, California, being called there by the death of her brother. Mrs. James Nickle returned a few days ago, from Fillmore, Millard county, coun-ty, where she has been visiting her son, Lloyd, the hustling Studebaker agent at that point. Mrs. U. A. Webster and Mrs. Abbie Anderson of the Project, who have been spending several weeks in Southern South-ern California, returned last Friday, after a most enjo3'able trip. Sunday night, a little feminine stranger took up her permanent residence resi-dence at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Van Wie, who reside on the Project, not far from the Experiment Farm. W. L. Bachtell left by auto, for Min-ersville, Min-ersville, Beaver anc the Dixie country this morning to advertise the week-end excursions to the Yellowstone Park, just inaugurated by the Salt Lake Route. Mis. H. F. Kennaby and eon, Frank, ! departed Friday evening for Salt Lake, where they will make a protracted ' stay. Mr. Kennaby accompanied them to the city, returning to Milford Wed nesday morning. Among those who accompanied the ball team on its tour, were Dr. Adkins, E. H. Street, Myron Lewis, Bishop Burns, "Doc" Brooks, George Jefferson, Jeffer-son, A. G. Burnbam, Guy Lewis, Art Peterson, Guy N:cble, Joe Johnson and Shirley Atkin. Joe Murdock, Dave Tanner, Justice Nichols and Marshal Baxter were attendants at the trial of Joe Hamilton at Bearer. Wednesday. Hamilton was charged with resisting an officer in Milford, on August 1st, and was bound over to answer at the next term of Superior court. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Ferguson are enjoying en-joying a visit from the former's mother, who resides in Imperial Valley, California. Calif-ornia. Miss Icie Ferguson expects to accompany her grandmother back to California in a few weeks, and will enter a young ladies, private school at Whittier, California, Mrs. Gertrude Bates of Hall, Montana, Mon-tana, formerly of Denver Col., stopped off in Milford the fore part of the week, to make a short visit with her brother, Mr. M.Lessley; she will later proceed to San Pedro, where she will make an extended visit. While here, Mrs. Bates was entertained at the Hotel Atkin. Brother and sister met for the firnt time in twenty-two years. |
