Show LETTER FROM GEO. HARRIS The following letter was received recently by Mrs. P. J. Adams: Somewhere in France, July 23, 1918. Dear Mother: Arrived here safe and sound and in good health. ' Of course we are a little tired but that is on account of not being used to riding on a boat. We are all glad to get something solid under our feet and are very anxious to get in the fray as we are all in good condition and want to get this over with, and the only way we can do it is to get in and whip these Huns so bad they never will want to fight again, and that is just what we are going to do, and expect to be back home for Christmas dinner. din-ner. We were all very much amused at the small engines and cars here. Everything is so quaint and amusing to ub, but of course it will be commonplace com-monplace after a few weeks. It seems that there is almost every nation on the globe represented here and the uniforms are very strange. We are realizing that the good old U. S. A. is sure the only place on earth and we are going to make short work of this and get back home to the land of the free. Your son, G. L. Harris. Co. A 346 M. G. Bn. A. E. F., A. P. O. 776. A |
