Show Railroad News VIA WIRELESS Conductor Gleeson returned from the committee meetirig in Los Angeles. An-geles. Mrs. Holmes, wife of Conductor Holmes, left for Salt Lake on No. 2 Tuesday evening. Two trains of dead-head equipment equip-ment passed through Milford to Salt Lake Tuesday night. This is the equipment that was used to carry the Utah boys to, Linda ViBta. Brakeman S. H. Jordan took sick while on duty at Delta and was compelled com-pelled to return to Milford on train No. 1 Wednesday morning. Lineman J. B. Price met with a serious accident near Oasis, last Sunday, by colliding with a Jap section sec-tion man. Both were using motor cars. Mr. Price is in the hospital at Salt Lake. Mr. Kujuhighi, the section foreman is wondering how it all happened.- Mrs. W. F. Cottrell, wife of pjar new mayor, left Milford- on No. 2 0 for Salt Lake Tuesday morning. Miss Nell Searle left for Las' Vegas Ve-gas on No. 19 Monday evening. Mr. N. L. Buzzard, machinest helper resigned the service. Mr. C. C. McErn. machinest, a new arrival will be connected with the local shops. Engine 3 407 was out on dress parade last Sunday. This engine has been in the shops for heavy repairs, re-pairs, and will now be placed in the regular service. T. A. Ream, general store keeper of Milford shops, went to Los Angeles An-geles to meet a brother whom he had not seen in twenty-five years. Bet four bits that Tom won't know him when they meet. Mr. Geo. Searle returned to Milford Mil-ford last Friday evening after an absence ot two weeks visiting with friends in Tacoma and Seattle, Washington. It is reported that master mechanics mechan-ics at Caliente and Lynndyl have both resigned the service. Conductor Stoyell and crew went east on a stock train Monday morning. morn-ing. Shingleton was taken suddenly ill Thursday evening after arriving on 7 at the shops. He became helpless and fell on the floor striking his chin and cutting it badly. bad-ly. He was treated immediately for his injuries and sent to the hospital on No. 2 0 Friday morning. MYSTERY. A very pretty young lady called at the telegraph office window this, Friday, morning at about 1:30. She made injuiry as to where a Mr. Magor resided. The reporter re-porter noticed that the -young lady was blushing a great deal but he charged it to the fact that the lady was en route in her automobile to some distant point inasmuch as she stated that they were driving through and that she had a special message to deliver to Mr. Magor personally and that it must be done at once. Assistance was given as to where Mr. Magor might be found. The lady rushed out to get Mr. Magor Ma-gor out of his warm bed. It was also noticed that a fine looking young .man was darting here and there deeply interested for some reason or other. We'll guess the rest. a. |
