Diehl of the Telluride Power company has furnished us with the following" rpnnrt e.n -u ull tlJe uepm 'or snow on the Beaveri Rjiver water shed at the end of March, since which date over two feet has fallen. It must be remembered that the measurements given at the stakes are the measurements of the snow re malnin gon the ground on March 31 and is heavy, well settled and will melt rather slowly. The first snow came early last fall while the ground was warm and lots "f it melted and went into the soil where it will do a large amount of go-od. The snow stake reading at the end of the month of March are as follows: ' unper station 22 feet. Stake 7 Cones Hollow, 3 8 feet Stake 8 South Fork 55 feet Stake 9 Thompson's Hole 60 ft. Stake 10 Merchan Valley. 60 ft The snow has. been higher than the above figures but has sunk Since these readings were taken "'ore than two feet of snow has fallen fal-len in April. The average across Merchant Valley Val-ley is six feet. Higher i, in the drifts, the snow is from 20 to 60 feet deep.
