Show REPUBLICAN PRIMARIES The most enthusiastic primary in recent years was held Monday evening even-ing in the opera house. The meeting meet-ing was called to order by precinct chairman George Jefferson, with precinct pre-cinct secretary, H. H. Pltchforth in his accustomed place. Nominations for delegates and al ternates were made and a vote taken, tak-en, and while the tellers were counting count-ing the ballots, the business of the meeting proceeded. Jas. Glenn was the nominee for Justice of the Peace. Jo. Mathews was nominated for Constable. George Jefferson was re-elected precinct chairman and Mrs. Bessie Coon was elected precinct secretary. As the tellers had not completed their count, those present were addressed ad-dressed by Karl Carlton and W. J. Burns on the issues of the campaign.
