Show COMPETITION IN DRAMATICS I Milford Basket Bull Team Wins Game From J'urowan Hitch School It may be noticed by observant readers of the variouB school notes which appear In this paper weekly, that a matter, which is of great importance, im-portance, is duscussed by most all of the schools publishing their notes. it is that of "school spirit." School spirit i3 a hard proposition to keep going, unless in the school there i takes place regularly some sort of a contest or entertainment in which ; the students can take interest and uuuai. Milford High School, being new, is at a greater disadvantage than the older schools, but a proposition put before the students by Principal Miner seems to be an effective stini-ulent stini-ulent to the so-called "spirit." Further information regarding the method will be given later. It might be stated, however that it will probably prob-ably be In the line of Interclass dramatic dra-matic competition, which should be very interesting to the public. Social The basket ball boys returned on Monday afternoon from Dixie where they played a "side" game with the St. George Academy. Notwithstand ing that they lost the game the boys were delighted to bring In the news that they won at least one game on the trip, which was with the Paro-wan Paro-wan high school. The B. C. H. S. plays Murdock Academy at Murdock on Friday, February Feb-ruary 2. Some interesting inter-class games have been played during the week. The most interesting one being between be-tween the second team and the 7 th and 8th grades, which resulted in a victory for the latter by a score of 21 to 20. Governmental Chief Justice Pitchforth, who has been with the basketball team on its southern tour is responsible for the scarcity of government news this week, being that no court was held. A . |
