Show Regular Dances Provided j Messrs. George and Shirley Atkin Lease Local Opera Houie Beginning next Wednesday evening, the loth, a new policy is to be inaugurated inaugur-ated with respect to dances held in j the Opera House. The building has been leased by George and Shirley Atkin, who have arranged for regular Wednesday evening dances to begin promptly at nine o'clock. To these danoes only gentlemen accompanied bv a lady partner will be admitted, and no lady without an escort will be permitted fo attend the dances. The gentlemen, alone, will be furnished fur-nished with a program, and so instead of the gentlemen approaching the ladies for dances, they will exchange dances ' among themselves. each gentleman in turn dancing with the lady partner with whom he has exchanged dances. This policy insures always au equal number of lady aud gentlemen participants, so that all will join in the festivities equally. This new departure is in response to a popular pop-ular demand for cleaner and better dances, and should appeal to the married folks as well as to the single lovers of the terpsichorean art. It has also been arranged to serve light refreshments at these dances, without additional charge over the oue dollar per couple fixed as the entrance fee. |
