Show Milfortfs New Postoffice Hand somfst of its Kind in Southern South-ern Utah Now Open to Public I Monday morning Postmaster Mun-: Mun-: ford took formal possession of the new and handsome postoffice building I in what the NEWS now christens i "Postoffice Place.'' The building i itself is attractive but the interior I furnishings, are probably the hand-somest hand-somest to be found in any postoffice in the southern end of the State. There are three windows for the service of the public, General Delivery, Parcel Post and Money Order openings. The furnishings, which are of metal, are in imitation mahogany and are very handsome. There are ample facilities for the convenient and rapid handling of the mails and a vault to safegurd the government's money and stamps. There are 324 small lock boxes, 18 medium sized boxes and 12 large compartments, a total of 354 boxes. The building, which is owned by R. A. B. Hatch of Beaver, was constructed con-structed by contractor E. Burton. The town is to be congratulated, not only on having such a fine post officebut also upon getting the old, unsightly shack formerly used off the public street. The latter building is being removed. |
