Show MILFORD HAS THEJ5EET BUG I Through the efforts of the Commercial Com-mercial club the Delta Sugar Company Com-pany sent their chief agriculturist. Mr. Roberts, here last week to Investigate In-vestigate the possibility of growing beets here. Mr. Roberts was taken over the valley and shown the different dif-ferent classes of soil and as a result re-sult of his investigations, about 100 acres will be planted to prove that he was right when he said that "the soil of Milford is equal to the Delta Del-ta soil in every way and in some particulars it is superior. The proportion as outlined by the Delta Sugar people is that they will furnish the seed, the special tools, drill etc this planting. They will furnish the labor for thinlng and will pay the same price for the beets delivered here, on the cars as they pay in Delta, and take their reimbursements for advances out of the proceeds. General Manager Jen kins of the Company Is expected to be here soon and confer with the prospective growers, and give them further information if desired. Mr. Haskell, the Government expert on wells and water will arrive tomorrow tomor-row and go over the water proposition. proposi-tion. His report will anxiously be awaited as the question of sinking quite a number of wells will be decided de-cided by the report he makes. Mr. N. P.
