Show . DEEP WELL GOING DOWN W. H. Palmer, who has been spending the past tea days here, looking after his extensive holdings, left this week for his home in Pennsylvania. Pen-nsylvania. While here he let a contract con-tract to O. D. Payne, the well man, for an 8 inch well on his ranch south of town. One of the clauses in the contract reads "a flowing well or 1000 feet,, in other words, Mr. Payne agrees to go down 1000 feet unless a flowing well' is struck before that depth is reached. This will mean that a portion of the valley val-ley will be tested for artesian water wat-er where up to the present time no deep wells have been drilled. |
