Show Unemployed Men Urged To Register Special plans for registering defense de-fense workers have been announced announc-ed by Claude Edwards, manager of the Cedar City office of the department de-partment of placement and unemployment unem-ployment insurance. Mr. Edwards announces that he wishes all skilled tradesmen who are not now employed or who are not using their skills in industry to register with the state employment employ-ment service. He also recommends that all young men who have completed com-pleted high school and who are now unemployed register with the state employment service. "Understand", M r . Edwards says, "we are not promising jobs right now, but we do anticipate a shortage of skilled labor in the next few months. We feel also that industry will soon turn to young men for training on the job. "The employment service is anxious to have a complete picture pic-ture of the labor supply in this area so that this area can do its part in furnishing manpower for national defense industries." As an added convenience to workers in this region, the employment em-ployment service will register workers in Milford and Miners-ville Miners-ville as follows: (Milford Wednesday, April 7, 10:00 a.m., at the library.
