Show r 1 j What to do. j J By PHYLLIS BELMONT I L J fill Question I was so embarrased when some old friends from out of town stopped in the other night just at dinner time. I could not ask them to dinner, but served them tea. Should I have apologized in any way? Answer I think you did very well in these days to serve them at all. Tea is comforting, warming and hospitable hos-pitable and I am sure they would not expect you to give them dinner. You need not apologize for being unable to offer them dinner, but you could have said "I wish 1 could invite in-vite you to have dinner with us, but there just isn't enough in the pot to offer you 'pot-luck.'
