Show fljbCKDlIff Mr. and Mrs. George Moore Friday morning of last week, went to Salt Lake City, where Mr. Moore was to receive medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Malstrom of Salt Lake City, formerly of Mil-ford, Mil-ford, were g-uests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gadfeerry the first part of the week, leaving leav-ing for their home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. S. G. Cron returned re-turned Sunday afternoon from Cedar City. Mr. Cron, Union Pacific roadmastertj clerk, went to Cedar Thursday on railroad business and was joined there Friday by Mrs. Cron. Members of the Monday Night Bridge club mefc at the home of Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen February 22. Those present were Mrs. M: H. Pool, Mrs. William Cochrane, Mrs. J. M. Hughes, Mrs. David S. Williams, Mrs. J. M. Williams, Mrs. Gene Kirk and Mrs. J. C. Smith. The prizes were received by Mrs. Cochrane, Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Kirk. Members of the Past Matrons club met with Mrs. I. Altman Tuesday nighlt at her home in the Hughes apartments. Bridge was enjoyed during the evening the prizes being being received re-ceived by Mrs. D. A. Baxter for high points and Miss Gladys Gos-pil Gos-pil for high honors, while Sirs. J. M. Williams received the consolation con-solation prize. Others present were Mrs. T. E. Gadberry, Mrs. L. G. Clay, Mrs. William Cochrane, Mrs. Ernest Uren and Mrs. J. R. Murdock. V Mrs. William Ward, sister of Dr. L. F. Kohler, passed through Milford Tuc.-day on her way to Los An'.'i'lra to visit her daughter and r.ew grandson. With her daddy in service "somewhere in the Pacific" as a radio technician in Uncle Sam's navy, a fine nine-pound baby girl was born February 19 to Mrs. Clarence A. McWhorter, the former form-er Miss Ruth Pool. The stork made his appearance at the Milford Mil-ford hospital and mother and babe are doing nicely. Mrs. K. B. Coon entertained her bridge club members Wednesday night. Those present were Mrs. George Jefferson, Mrs. Harold Cline, Mrs. Thomas Foss, Mrs. Lloyd Kohler, Mrs. Vic Carlson Mrs. Thomas Gerrard and Mrs. R. W. Acheson. The first, second and third prizes at bridge were won by Mrs. Kohler, Mrs. Coon and Mrs. Foss, respectively. Mrs. Gene Pitchforth entertain ed members of her bridge club last Friday night with Mrs. Jim Smithson 'winning the prize for high points and Mrs. Pitchforth the prize for high honors, while Mrs. William Morris received the consolation prize. Others present were Mrs. Kenneth Hollis, Mrs. Freda Outzen, Mrs. J. S. Ricker-son, Ricker-son, Mrs. 0. R. Smith and Mrs. Des Hickman. Mrs. George Moore was hostess to members of her bridge club Thursday night of last week. Those presemt were Mrs. Myron Lewis, Mrs. E. L. Smith, Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr., Mrs. Sam Cline, Mrs. Gene Kirk, Mrs. David S. Williams and Mrs. J. H. Weston. The prizes at bridge were won by Mrs. Smith for high points and Mrs. Lewis for high honors, while Mrs. Murdock received the consolation conso-lation prize. Mrs. Charles MoCulley entertained enter-tained members of her "500" club Wednesday night with the prizes going to Mrs. Robeilt Tomsik for high points and Mrs. Kennelth Smith for low points, while Mrs. Wayne Lyman received the traveling travel-ing prize. Others present were Mrs. Roy Firmage, Mrs. Thomas James, Mrs. Ross Patterson, Mrs. Eddie Leech, Mrs. Walter Muir, Mrs. Walt McCulley, Mrs. Douglas Doug-las Gilliam, Mrs. Leon Jones, Mrs. Alfred Horton, Mrs. Fred McKay, Mrs. Don Young and Miss Esther Crawford. The annual get-together gathering gath-ering of Milford sportsmen and South Milford land owners will be held next Tuesday evening, March 2, at 8 o'clock, at the Community club house in South Milford. The affair is being sponsored by the Milford Wildlife Protective association, asso-ciation, the club furnishing "the makings" for sandwiches and coffee, cof-fee, which will be prepared and served by South Milford ladies. All members and prospective memlbers of the club, together with all residents of South Milford, Mil-ford, are invited to be present, this year's event differing from that of last year only in the fact that ladies also will be guests on this occasion. The Lady Firemen held their regular meeting Friday night, February 19, at which time Mrs. A. L. McDonald was taken into the lodge. After the meeting, the ladies went to the beautiful new home of Mrs. William Ashworth, where the rest of the time was spent playing cards. Prizes for high score went to Mrs. Alvin Skillicorn, second high to Mrs. Charles DeRose and consolation to Mrs. Ashworth and Mrs. K. B. Coon. The high score house prize went to Mrs. Ashworth and second sec-ond high to. Mrs. Skillicorn. At a late hour delicious refreshments were served by a committee composed com-posed of Mrs. Ashworth, Mrs. Coon, Mrs. Lyman and Mrs. J. A. Raines. The party was given in honor of Mrs. McDonald and Mrs. Agaard. |
