LILLIAN McKNIGHT i Mr. and Mrs. Hilton Gillins are happy over the arrival of a new, j son- i The Minersville M-Mcn, accompanied accom-panied by a large number of townspeople, went to St. George to play in a round-robin tournament, with Bunkerville, Santa Clara ind Enterprise. They defeated Bunkerville Bunk-erville quintet the first night, 45-17, 45-17, but were defeated in a fast game with Enterprise the second night, 30-33. The Martin Sherwood family went to Milford on Tuesday to welcome Jimmie's wife and two i children, who have just arrived from England. Mrs. Fred Watts and small son have been guests of Mr. and Mrs Sidney Carter for the past week. The Obra Myers family is moving back from South Milford, where they have lived for the past several years. The Luke family, who have been living in the Obra Myers home, have returned to their former home in Junction. The eldest son Keith, will live at the Victor Myers home until the close of the school year. Val Thompson of Milford is visiting vis-iting with his sister, Mrs. Douglas Blackburn. The'streets of Minersville are receiving re-ceiving their annual coat of gravel This makes the very fine streets and walks this town has enjoyed for many years. The work is done by townspeople, with the cooperation coopera-tion of county officials in the use of trucks and grading equipment Reward for the labors of the local men, who donate their time, is usually a dance. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ogden were in Salt Lake City on business the early part of the week. Mr. John Griffiths is in Salt Lake City visiting his son, Lewis Griffith, and daughter, Mrs. Alf Heslington. |
