Show JAMES WILLIAMS FILES DAMAGE SUIT AGAINST TELLURIDE James D. Williams, operator of the Harrington-Hickory group of mining claims west of Milford filed suit on Thursday, March 7 in Beaver County District Court against the Telluride Power Com-pah, Com-pah, charging negligent, improper and careless changes and alterations altera-tions made in and about its power lines, resulting in th,e failure to deliver adequate power to the Harrington-Hickory mining operations opera-tions controlled by Mr. Williams Damages in the amount of $26,400 are asked. Mr. Williams contends the Failure tc deliver adeuqate power resulted in flooding ore producing areas of the mine, causing cave-ins there-in. Attorneys for plaintiff are Gustin & Richards of Salt Lake City. The. specific period of power failure is placed at July 5-12, 1945. The Harrington-Hickory, which Mr. Williams has pumped continuously contin-uously 24 hours daily for two years to unwater the 600-foot level, is mining high grade lead-silver-zinc sulfide ores from the 600 level, 100 feet below the normal water level of the district. |
