Show Lawrence B. Eldridge is leaving Sunday for a business trip to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Dixon Fotheringham Fothering-ham left last Sunday for Clearfield, Clear-field, where Dixon is stationed as a mail clerk. In addition to the students mentioned men-tioned last week who were home from their colleges for the holidays,; are Patricia Pitchforth of St. j Marys - of - the - Wasatch, El Rod ' Leany of B. Y. U., and Albert j Smith of the University of Utah. ' j Mrs. William White entertained Mrs. J. R. Armstrong and daugh- ! ter of San Antonio, Texas, at a ! luncheon. The Texas lady - has I been visiting with her parents, ' Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong, for the ! past six weeks and has now re- ! turned to her home in San An- j tonio. j Mrs. Rose Robinson of Fillmore visited the John Stahl family in South Milford over the holidays, returning to her home on Monday. Pvt. Don Sly, in training, at 5heppard Field, Texas, spent the Christmas holidays at the home of his mother, Mrs. Rose Bond, in South Milford. On the return trip Mrs. Bond accompanied Don as car as Cedar City. A sister of the service man, Miss Rose Sly of Springville, was also at heme for ;he holidays. O. A. Steenbock is recovering from a bad case of ' flu after spending several days in bed. A baby boy was born to Billy and Lurella Dawson on December 28 in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Dawson will stay with her mother, Mrs. Amie Stoddard, after she is released re-leased from the hospital. Les Clay, in the Cedar City hospital hos-pital recovering from a siege of pneumonia, is reported well on the way to recovery and expecting to leave for Salt Lake City with his family as soon as he is able to make the trip. Mrs. Henry Farmer has been ill the past few days. Albert Raines is now home to stay, after 2V4 years in Germany. He arrived on Christmas Eve and plans to take a short rest before going to work. James W. Thompson, S lM-c, son of William Thompson of Milford, is on his way home after being re leased from the navy, according to a navy news bulletin from Pearl Harbor. Sgt. Beryl W. Roberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lister Roberts of Minersville, was discharged at Fort Douglas on December 29, according ac-cording to a report from the Ft. Douglas separation center. On December 28 Pfc. Eugene Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Myers of Minersville, was discharged dis-charged at Fort Douglas. |
