Show Mis3 Marie Gillios, a U. of U. student is home for the Easter vacation. Gene Kirk and Sam Cline were business visitors in southern California Cali-fornia this week. J. Cass Root, former Milford postmaster, spent the forepart of the week in Salt Lake on business. M. H. Pool, proprietor of the Pool store, left last Saturday for a few days business visit in Salt Lake. Mrs. George Rodgers of Satf. Lake, a former resident of Milford, was visiting- here Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Dick Johnson and baby daughter left Sunday to spend a week with Mrs. Johnson's family in Modena. M ss rlazel Tribole came home I ladt Friday from Long- Beach, California, Cali-fornia, to spend the Easter vacation vaca-tion with home folks. iMiss Doreen Moody was hostess to a number of schoolmates Saturday Satur-day afternoon, April 1, the occas-sion occas-sion being her birthday. The local Rebekah lodge held their reg-ular meeting Wednesday night, afloer which a social was given in honor of Mrs. M. H. Pool, who received her 15-year jewel. Milford high school bookkeeping team took second place in the vocational vo-cational work contests held at Cedar City last Saturday. Don jChristensen and Hughes Williams won first and third places as individual indi-vidual contestants. Mrs. J. R. Murdock jr. was hostess to the Saturday aftternoon bridge club with Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, Mrs. William Cochrane and Mrs. C. W. Cates receiving the prizes. Qthers present were Mrs. George Fernley, Mrs. Fred Levi, Mrs. J. M. Williams and Mrs. D. S. Williams. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. MoCulley returned re-turned recently from an enjoyable visit with Mrs. McCulley's two sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. J. N. Gray and Mrs. Fred Ludke, in Los Angeles. On their return they spent two days in Las Vegas at the home of their son, Ted MjpCulley, especially enjoying en-joying the visit with their two little grand-daughters. A. F. McCulley, local Western Union operator, received word last week-end of the death at Decatur, Alabama of his sister, Mrs. W. W. Aldridge, 49. Her death on March 80 was due to pneumonia. Burial took place the day following. She is survived by two daughters, five sons, a sister and one ether brother, bro-ther, all residing in Alabama or vicinity. 1 Mrs. Rossi jPaJlmer erl(taiined her bridge club Tuesday night. Those present were Mrs. Clarence Grlmshaw, Mrs. Ray Mills, Mrs. Frank White, Mrs. Faye Brad-field, Brad-field, Mrs. Lloyd Kohler, Mrs. A. A. Mclntyre' and Mrs. Ralph Cook. Mrs. White received the high points prize, Mrs. Bradtfjeld' the high honors prize and Mrs. Kohler the consolation prize. The Lady Trainmen Auxiliary met at tne home of Mrs. Ezra Lyman Monday night. Bridge was enjoyed Wiith Mrs. Vera Vincent receiving high points prize, Mrs. Garnetta Hollis high honors prize and Mrs. Ruby Ashworth consolation consola-tion prize. Others present were Mrs. Flo Hanlon, Mrs. Lou Moore, Mrs. Lillian Fobheringham, Mrs. Freda Smith, Mrs. Laura Brad-field, Brad-field, Mrs. Eva Banks, Mrs. Netta Kirk, Mrs. Belverine Palmer, Mrs. 1 Garnett Garfield and Mrs. Zola Lund. j A number of friends surprised ! Mrs. M. H. Pool last Thursday! afternoon, the occasion being her ! birthday. Bridge was enjoyed after which a dainty lunch was enjoyed.
