Camp By 'Pep' Johnson, Camp Correspondent Another Victory The camp baseball team chalked another victory up for themselves last Thursday when they took the Experiment station forest service men for a cleaning of 14-1. That's ; good going boys, and we are still wishing more luck. The team still j challenges Milford and near-by towns. Spike Camp Leaves Twenty-five men from the camp under the leadership of Jim Haycock, Hay-cock, left on the 3rd of June to start another spike camp at Indian peak. The object of the camp is to get more cedar posts for fencing projects. New Companies i Now (that new companies are being established in the Fort Douglas district, Company 1964 is going to lose twelve of its men. j These twelve men are going out I to start new companies, and to get ; the companies ready for men that i will be shipped in from eastern corps areas- The men leaving are: ! George B. Bennett, senior fore-man; fore-man; Arthur E. Lindsey, mess I steward; Don Overly, storekeeper; i Fred Powelson, clerk; Everett Kearney, cook; Leon Jones, cook; : Harold Wright, first aid man; ' Thomas Lewis, forest clerk; Albert Al-bert Pryanovich. key man; Julus 'Peterson, key nun; Hal Chris-topherson, Chris-topherson, truck driver, and Wayne ' Tanner, truck driver. The com-i com-i pany hates to lose these men, but since it must be, here's wishing them all plenty of luck in their j new companies. With the above men, First Lieu-J tenant Gilbert S. Knapp and Sec-j ond Lieutenant Carl A. Wicker- j ham, expect to be transferred to other companies.. The men of Company 1964 have enjoyed work-, ing with Lieutenant Knapp and Wickerman and they all feel that these two lieutenants will do well; in their new companies. ' Promotion The following is a copy of paragraph para-graph ten. Special Orders 125.' from Washington D. C: "The promotion, pro-motion, by direction of the Presi-j dent of First Lieutenant Gilbert Schoewe Knapp, infantry reserve, Fifth Corps area, now on active duty, to captain, infantry reserve,' to date from May 28, 1935 is announced. an-nounced. He will rank from the date upon which he accepts this 'promotion." Although Lieutenant Knapp has not received his oath ' yet, he expects it very sonn now. As soon as he receives this oath he will be a full-fledged captain. More power to you.
