Show o NoticeToTaxpayers Because of the permanence of lands and the high cost of inspection, inspec-tion, land values for taxation purposes pur-poses are not placed each year as for personal property. Due, however, how-ever, to changes that are constantly constant-ly taking place, it does become necessary at intervals to reclassify lands for tax valuations. Such a classification was made a year ago, and valuations will become effective this year. These classifications classi-fications will remain for a period of years, which makes it important import-ant for owners to check their tax notices very closely at this time. The county commissioners are anxious to make taxes just and equitable and ask the right kind of cooperation from landowners. Instead of individual complaints coming from scattered, locations, we would like taxpayers to compare com-pare their land classifications in neighborhoods where soils and water rights are of the same type or source- Then report in representative repre-sentative groups for adjustments of inequalities that may exist under un-der the last classification. This gives the equalization board a better bet-ter chance to make comparisons and to get a fair representation from the taxpayers concerned. It also gives the owners the privilege I of assisting in these new valuation valua-tion adjustments, j It is almost impossible to make fair individual adjustments without with-out a re-inspection. The county board of equalization equaliza-tion meets Monday, June 10, for the purpose of equalization and would like this kind of representation representa-tion where inequalities do exist. H. A. CHRISTIANSEN, Chairman of the County Board of Equalization. |
