Lawrence joined the rail-: roar' in January, 1910, as a ticket! cler!: at Seattle; after various jobs, in April, 1923, he became general; agent in the passenger depart-! ment there. s In September, 1927, he was nam 3d district passenger agent at New York and in January, 1930, he was appointed general agent in the pasnnger department there. He. was promoted to the traffic manager's man-ager's post at Denver in May, 1944. - I Mr. Fowler began with the railroad rail-road as a clerk at Riverside, Calif., in July, 1922. He moved to Glendale as gen-' eral agent in January, 1934, then went to Los Angeles as assistant general passenger agent in July, 1938. He has been general pas-. senger agent there since March, j 1934. i P. F. Echele, general freight j agent at Omaha, will succeed Mr. Lawrence in Denver. Various clerical positions follewed until May, 1939, when he was ap-, pointed general agent in the freight department at Omaha. In March, 1940, we was appointed assistant to the vice president and in July, 1941, named to fill his present post. Mr. Echele will be succeeded at Omaha by J. C. Beaumont, now general freight agent at Denver. Mr. Beaumont began with the railroad rail-road in June, 1912, as an office boy at Omaha, held various positions posi-tions until February, 1933, when he was named general agent at Trlsn In August, 1938, he returned to Omahaas general agent in the freight department and in May, 1939, he was appointed assistant general freight agent at Omaha. He was transferred to Denver as general freight agent in June, 1939. M. A. Light, general agent at Minneapolis, will succeed Mr. Beaumont at Denver. He began with the railroad in July, 1925, as a clerk on the Wyoming division, divi-sion, then alternated between the operating and tours departments until August, 1934, when he became be-came passenger agent at New York. In November, 1936, he moved to St. Louis as city passenger agent; in February, 1939, he came to Omaha as traveling passenger agent; then In March, 1941, he went to Detroit as traveling freight and passenger agent. He went to Kansas City in June, 1943, as traveling freight and passenger pas-senger agent, and to Minneapolis as general agent in July, 1944. Emil W. Mau, chief clerk to the traffic manager at Chicago, will succeed Mr. Light at Minneapolis Mr, Mau began as a rate clerk at Chicago in October, 1924, later worked as a traveling freight agent there and since May, 1941, has been in his present position. C. F. Farmer, assistant general passenger agent at Los Angeles, will move up to succeed Mr. Fowler. Ho began with the railroad rail-road as assistant agent at Pasadena Pasa-dena in November, 1920, became general agent there in January 1927. In February, 1940, he was named general agent, passenger department, depart-ment, Los Angeles, and since May, 1914, has been assistant genera) passenger agent there. He will be succeeded by R. B Johnson, special representative at Omaha, who began in May, 1922, as a clerk in the office of the auditor of passenger accounts in Omaha. In April, 1941, he became a traveling trav-eling passenger agent at Omaha, later served as city passenger agent and chief clerk in the passenger pas-senger traffic department in Omaha. He was named a special representative last July. Mr. Olin has been with the railroad rail-road since March, 1920, when he began at Seattle as assistant general gen-eral freight and passenger agent. In April, 1932, he was transferred to San Francisco as assistant traffic traf-fic manager and in February, 1P40. he was named traffic manager. man-ager. Prior to going to work for the Union Pacific, Mr. Olin had worked for the Chicago Great Western. Mi Malcodm began with the railroad as general agent at Detroit in March, 1920, in November, 1938, became assistant traffic manager and since February, 1940, has held the traffic manager's post there. |
