Show Judge Glenn Dies Thurs. After Stroke Judge James Forgie Glenn, one of Milford's oldest, best known and well liked citizens, died early Thunday morning following a paralytic stroke suffered last Saturday. Sat-urday. He was 70 years old, having hav-ing been born in County Down, Ireland, March 18, 1875, to James i and Anna Forgie Glenn. The Judge, justice of the peace for Milford since 1920, had been an active mine operator in his earlier years, later working in the Union Pacific shops at Milford. He was a charter member of the Milford I. O. O. F. lodge No. 42, but had not been active in lodge circles for the t past few years, due to infirmities ' of age. In 1935 he was presented a 25-year membership Jewel by that organization. Coming to Milford in 1901, Judge Glenn was married to Susan Porter of Belfast, Ireland, at Salt Lake ' City on May 19, 1902. I Friendly to all, Judge Glenn was j active in civic affairs and served as j Town Board Trustee for several terms. He was present at most and a speaker at many of the civic and religious gatherings of the town, and will be sorely missed by the scores of citizens whom he met and greeted daily. He is survived by his wife and two sons, David Glenn of Milford and Charles Glenn of Elko, Nev., and six grandchildren. |
