Show '"SOUTH MILFORD By MRS. W. J. BAKER Mr, and Mrs. Robert Fisher left for Rosemead, Calif., last week, after spending the last three months here. Mrs. Marion Lewis of Herlon, Calif., has been visiting her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Preen Howarth, and her two little daughters, and having some dental work done. She returned last Friday to Herlon, where she is employed as an agent on the Southern Pacific railroad. Social Hour club members met at the home of Mrs. Ivan Mc- Knis.ht last Thursday afternoon. At tlie business meeting, plans were made for the annual "New Year's party. A delicious lunch was served to the following members: mem-bers: Mrs. Leonard Bowen, Mrs. Parley Fisher, Mrs. Clair Gillins, Mrs. George Smith, Mrs. Obra Myers, Mrs. Lee Baker, Mrs. Carl Elmer, Mrs. Kent Smith and Mrs. William Baker. Mrs. Watts, mother moth-er of Mrs. Bowen, was an invited guest. Mr. and Mrs. , A. A. Jones and family have moved back to their farm, from town. LOCAL NIMRODS FIND DUCKS PLENTIFUL Ducks in the Milford Valley waterways wat-erways seem plentiful this year, I with some sportsmen reporting limit bags. However, the geese I are more wary and few hunters j are bringing home the large fowl, j Vance Fisher and Lawrence El-! El-! dridge shot five ducks at the Minersville Min-ersville reservoir last Sunday and came home with 21 from another duckshoot on Tuesday. No geese were killed on either trip. i |
