Show Men of 45 to 65 Register Monday Approximately 50,000 male residents resi-dents in Utah will be registered next Monday, April 27, for classification classi-fication according to their skills and aptitudes for war production work, Lieutenant Colonel H. A. Rich, state director of seleotive service announced a few days ago. service, announced a few days ago. quarters in Washington, D. C, anticipate a total registration of about 13,000,000 men between the ages of 45 and 64 years, inclusive, in continental United States, the territories of Alaska and Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. The registration will include every male citizen and every male alien resident, other than persons exempted by the selective training and service act, who has attained the 45th anniversary of his birth on or before February 16, 1942, and has not attained the 65th anniversary an-niversary of his birth on or before April 27, 1942. These men who register on April 27, the director pointed out, are not liable for military service under the law. They will be given certificates of registration registra-tion which they must have in their personal possession at all .times and produce at the request of authorized persons. Later they will be required to fill out an occupational oc-cupational questionnaire, detailing their civilian qualificatons and skills, but that will be for the purpose of obtaining information only. Registrants of next Monday will be duly assigned serial numbers num-bers by the various local boards, as in the past three registrations; but there will be no lottery or assignment as-signment of order numbers in this case. Milford men folks of the above ages will register this time at the Milford Town library, instead of the town office, as heretofore, and the hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. |
