Show Milford IHigh Debaters Do Well At St. George Milford high school debaters won 1G out of the 23 debates in which they participated Friday of last week in the high school debate de-bate met at St. George, with a large number of southern Utah schools taking part. A Milford affirmative af-firmative team, composed of Thorpe Waddingham and Gail Elmer, El-mer, won all of their debates, only one other team, a negative group' from Monroe, equalling this record. rec-ord. However, another Milford team, composed of Caroline Clay i and Joy Hollingshead, made an almost equally good record, win- j ning four out of their five con-i tests. Other students representing Milford Mil-ford high school were: Jack Kirk, Collex-n Meyers, Lola Davis, Bill Kirk, Ted Weber, Zola Hall and Lois Gray. They were accompanied accompan-ied by Principal E. R. Moody and L. G. Clay. The Milford high school students are to be congratulated on these fine results of their efforts. j |
