Show ! Don'ts For Kite Flyeis j Traditionally the kibe month, March brings its annual hazards of injury to boys and damage to electric lines. The Telluride Power company attempts to meet the problem with a set of safety , "don'ts" for kite fliers: 1. Don't use a kite with metal ; ribs. I 2. Don't use wire or tinsel I string. Use only cotton cord; and 1 remember that wet cord is a conductor con-ductor of electricity and will cause as much trouble as wire if is coines in contact with electric lines. 3. Don't fly your kite near ' i power or telephone wires or transmission trans-mission towers. 4. Don't permit your kite to go over radio aerials. 5. Don't let your kite get away from you. Serious injury to yourself your-self and others and extensive damage to property may follow if you do. G. Never attempt to climb poles j to release a kite entangled in wires or try to release it by throwing stones at it. 7. Never run across streets or hig-hways while flying a kite. |
