Show CTJSTIAN SCIENCE "Sacnimcnt" is the subject of the lesson-sermon to be 'read by the Christian Science Society in Milford on Sunday, July 9. The Golden Text is: "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew re-new a riht spirit within me" (Psalms 51: 10). Selections from the Bible include the following: "And they came to a place which was named Geth-semane: Geth-semane: and he saith unto his dis-ciples, dis-ciples, Sit ye here, while I shall pray. And saith unto them, -My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death; tarry ye here, and watch" (Mark 14: 32 34). Accompanying the selections Is-the Is-the following passage from "Sci ence and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "The pangs of neglect and the staves of bigoted ignorance smote him (Jesus) sorely. His students slept. He said unto them: "Could ye net watch with me one hour?' Could they not watch with him who, waiting and struggling in ! voiceless agony, held uncomplaining uncomplain-ing guard over a world? There was no response to that human yearning, and so Jesus turned forever away from earth to heaven, from sense to Soul" (p. 148). TIT |
