Show Mrs. Albert Raines enjoyed a visit last week with relatives and friends In Beaver and Mt. Carmel. Miss Katherine Kirk left Wed-! nesday for Springville, where she will stay this winter while attending attend-ing school at the B. Y. U. G. C. Cuddy left Saturday for Los Angeles where he is visiting for several days with his father. Mrs. J. F. Tribole returned a few days ago from Salt Lake City, where she accompanied her son William, who is beginning his second sec-ond year at Westminster college. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Cloward and Mrs. Gould Dixon and sons of Pay-son Pay-son were visitors at the George Rogers home last week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Cloward are the parents of Mrs. Rogers and Mrs. Dixon Is her sister. Mrs. Bruce Tagart of Salt Lake City visited in 'Milford the latter part of last week at the home of her sister, Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen, Mrs. Nielsen accompanied her to Salt Lake Saturday for a visit in the city. Mrs. W. F. Cottrell expects to leave Sunday for a few days visit with friends in Ogden. She will be joined there Tuesday by her son Roy and they will proceed to Portland, Port-land, Oregon, to visit with Mrs. Cottrell's sister and friends in the Pacific northwest. She will be gone about 30 days. The Milford Volunteer Fire department de-partment is sponsoring a carnival dance to be given' Saturday night, October 3, which is the date for both Republican and! Democratic county conventions to be held in Milford, the convention sessions to be held -during the day. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Purchase of Tucson,. Arizona, are making the Desert Range Experiment station their headquarters for two or three weeks while gathering various vari-ous kinds of grass seed for government govern-ment uses. Headquarters of this activity-, formerly at Tucson, are now at Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a Utah storehouse at Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rogers of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. 0. E. Smith and son of Salt Lake, Mrs. Joe Riley of Montrose, Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rogers and children of Beaver were guests Sunday and Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Rogers. Ray and Willis Rogers and Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Riley are brothers and sisters of George Rogers. |
