The Kinema theatre, under the management of Rhea Marksheffel. had opened with a large crowd in attendance. Word had been received that Governor Mabey was to be in Mil-ford Mil-ford and a committee composed of C. A. Arrington, Bishop Bird, Rev. Zook, George Jefferson and Karl S. Carlton had got busy and planned plan-ned a reception for the distinquish-ed distinquish-ed guest and his party. Mrs. Jessie Gilson had entertained entertain-ed at a handkerchief shower in honor of Bernice Levi, a September Septem-ber bride. Among those attending the reception re-ception and dance given in honor of Governor Mabey at Beaver were: Mr. and Mrs. Dobson, Eleanor Elea-nor Griffiths, Juanita Miller, Lola MicCarol, Sam Hickman, Alta Griffiths, Grif-fiths, Mrs. Lulu Germo and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw. The district game warden, Cy Davis, had reported planting 1800 young fish in Cy's Cache, 7000 in the south fork of North creek, 7000 in Indian creek and 4000 in South creek. A birthday party had been given for little Miss Shirlen Atkin with about 25 little tots in attendance. Those present were Avanel New-hart, New-hart, 'Dorothy Theissen, Norma White, Sue Kesler, Bobby Kesler, Helen and Adele Kinney, Hortense Nebeker, Dorothy and Margie Marksheffel, Peggy Peterson, Far-rell Far-rell Peterson, Charles Elmer, Leon Blumberg, Reba Korns, Marie Duf-fin, Duf-fin, Dolly Jefferson, Horace Palmer Pal-mer jr., Audrey Raines, Margaret Moore, Shirlen Atkin, Howard Atkin and Baby Martha Atkin. Helen Ruth and Alice Ward helped with the entertaining. Mrs. William Cochrane had returned re-turned from Salt Lake, where she had accompanied her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. John Waters of Canada, who had been visiting here. A grand ball was to be given in the high school with the following committee: Mir. Izatt, D. A. Tanner, Tan-ner, Mrs. Nebeker, Mrs. Sloan, Mrs. Atkin, Mrs. Frizzell, Mrs. Hedges, Mrs. Dave Tanner, Mrs. Marksheffel, Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. Bird, Mrs. Roy White, Mrs. Glenn, Mrs. C. Kesler, Mrs. H.
