The Milford I. 0. 0. F. hall was the scene Saturday night, of a jolly party, given by the Brother-! hood of Locomotive Firemen and i . Enginemen, Lodge 439, and Auxiliary Auxi-liary ladies. The affair was arranged ar-ranged in honor of .Nathan E. Smith, retiring financial secretary of the lodge, and was a big success suc-cess in every way. ! Mrs. Etta Mlae Brown and Miss Lois Gray, daughter of Mrs. Viva ' ' Gray, arrived in Milford the latter part of the week. They have been employed in an aircraft plant at i Chula Vista, California, near San Diego, and Mrs. Brown, will return ' to her employment there after a visit of a couple of weeks, Miss j Lois remaining here indefinitely. ' The regular P.-T. A. meeting will be held Monday, November 22, at 8:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. All parents and interested inter-ested patrons are urged to attend. Mrs. W. B. Gardner received some 35 women friends at "open heuse" Sunday afternoon and evening, eve-ning, the occasion being her birthday. The lovely Gardner home was colorfully decorated for the occasion with roses and fall flowers. Dainty refreshments were served from a lace covered serving table and she received happy felicitations from those who called. Mrs. K. A. Smith entertained ten children November 3 in honor of the tenth birthday of her daughter Patty. Games and refreshments were enjoyed by the following guests: Norma and Jimmy Mas-tros, Mas-tros, DeLane Johnson, David and Betty and Sonny Briscoe, Bonnie Munk, and Eddie and Nancy Smith. Mrs. William Baker entertained members of her sewing club at her home in South Milford Thursday cf last week. Those enjoying the afternoon were Mrs. LaVem Pat- terson, Mrs. Dick Jones, Mrs. J. F. Tribole, Mrs. William Frazier, Mrs. Nolan Openstow, Mrs. D. N. Hickman, Mrs. Gene Pitchforth and Mrs. Dave Tanner. The birthdays birth-days of Mrs. Tribole and Mrs. Hickman were honoi'ed at that time. Mrs. James Smithson was hostess host-ess to members of her bridge club Thursday of last week. Those present were Mrs. Kenneth. Hollis, Mrs. D. N. Hickman, Mrs. Gene Pitchforth, Mrs. J. S. Rickerson, Mrs. Freda Outzen and Mrs. Glen Barnes, rwith Mrs. F. A. Bingham and Mrs 0. R. Smith as guests. It being .the birth annin-grsary of Mrs. Hickman, she was the recipient re-cipient of many lovely gifts. Mrs. M. L. Buntin entertained a number of women Saturday evening eve-ning of last week in honor of Mrs. J. E. Wilson of Cedar City, a former for-mer resident who was visiting , here last week-end. Smith entertained members of her "500" club Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week with the high score prize being won by Mrs. Evelyn Brennen, while Mrs. Mary Mnir received the consolation prize and Mrs. Luella Fisher the tiaveling prize. Others present were Mrs. Margaret Lyman, Mrs. Almieda Holbrook, Mrs. Verna Tomsik, Mrs. Luella Fisher, ard Mrs. Olive Young.
