Show Tigers Defeated By Cedar Team The Cedar City Rednien moved to a 25-6 victory over the Milford Tigers Friday afternoon of last week after a battle which showed the worth of both team. The Cedar grid machine used a popular popu-lar "T" formation as they made ishort passes and numerous line bucks for much-needed yardage to keep them going. Passes were the most important factor, as both teams were constantly con-stantly using some kind of a pass over the line or a tricky double pass around the end, which proved to be a good one as they made large gains. Both teams connected connect-ed and: intercepted passes whieh came near being touchdowns as they came within scoring distance of "pay dirt" time after time. Some passes were completed and run for as many as 60 yards at a time. Although the Redmen had more speed, the Tigers kept- themi baffled baf-fled with spreads and trick plays throughout the game to keep everyone guessing. EkJery boy on the Milford squad helped to stem the r.Wvance of the Redmen, but did permit them to get four touchdowns and one extra point on a conversion. Cedar City outstanding players on the team were the left-hand'ed quarterback, Don Seamen, and Halfbacks Bowers and Neeley. This was the last game of the football season for the Milford boys, and we're sure the boys don't feel bad as they beat Hinckley Hinck-ley 12-2 and Beaver 61-14. The boys have played hard and turned in some fine performances and are to be complimented. V |
