Show Station To Give Weather Reports After 20 years of faithful service ser-vice as cooperative weather observer ob-server for Milford, Charles E. Beard is now relieved of the duties of this work, the local airways radio station having been furnished with additional thermometers and precipitation gauges by which the employes of the station can take care of this work in addition to the reporting they do for flying purposes. J. Cecil Alter, meterologist ' in charge of the Salt Lake office of the weather bureau, pays a nic compliment to Mr. Beard in notifying noti-fying him of the change, stating that there is no other observer in in the state who is quite so near to the hearts of the Salt Lake office personnel, in many respects, as is Mr. Beard. For many years, the letter adds, he has rendered then-very then-very best reports and kept them constantly informed as to weather, crop and range conditions. |
