Show Mrs. Jack Weston was a Salt Lake visitor the fore part erf the week. Jack Williams, who is attending a law school in Los Angeles, spent the week-end here with home cfolks. Mrs. Stanley Voorhees was hostess host-ess Saturday aifternoon to a number num-ber of little schoolmates and friends of her son Reed. The occasion oc-casion was Reed's eighth birthday. Mr. Alvin SkiHicorn (nee Audrey Aud-rey Raines) accompanied Mrs. W. G. White down from Salt Lake Wednesday night for a few days visit at the home of her mother, Mrs. A. J. Raines. Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Schow of Ephraim and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wogan of Mayfield were week-end visitors .in Milford. Bridge was played with Mrs. George Fernley receiving the high score prize and Mrs. L. G. Clay consolation prize. Among those present were Mesdames Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen, George Fernley, William Morris, George Moore, L. G. Clay, La Mar Outzen, William Carlson, Ross Palmer and Gene Kirk. Mrs. L. G. Clay entertained at a birthday party last Saturday afternoon. Those present were Mesdames J. R. Murdock jr., Rudolph Ru-dolph Nielsen, George Fernley, E. D. Y'oung, William Cochrane, J. C. Smith, L. C. Koch, J. R. Murdock sr., J. Low, George Moore, LaMar Outzen, J. M. Hughes, Gene Kirk, Ross Palmer, Myron Lewis, William Wil-liam Morris, Elam Fouts and E. R. Moody. Bridge was played with Mrs. Hughes winning high score prize and Mrs. Outzen consolation prize. V. Waddoups last week-end began be-gan the operation of a pastry shop in connection with his management of the state liquor store and Mil-ford Mil-ford people who enjoy fine pastries prepared under scrupulously clean conditions are invited to call and give his products a trial. It is not his intention, at least for the present, pres-ent, to undertake the making of bread but will confine his efforts to pastries of all kinds, in the making mak-ing of which he had considerable training a number of years ago. Another .51 of an inch of moisture mois-ture has been added to the already abundant precipitation record of the Milford valley, according to recordings re-cordings at the airways radio station, sta-tion, with the heaviest recording Thursday of last week. There was a quarter of an inch of moisture chalked up for that day but there have been lesser amounts on four intervening days. The coldest recorded re-corded temperature minimum of the week was on March 19, when the mercury dropped to 12 above zero. The Lady Trainmen met at the home of Mrs. Prudence Jensen Friday evening. Bridge was played play-ed after which a dainty lunch was served by the hostess. Mrs. Belve-reen Belve-reen Palmer was the winner of the high points prize, Mrs. Eva Stone-hocker Stone-hocker the high honors prize and Mrs. Ella Edwards was awarded. the consolation prize.
