Show Is Your Antenna a Marconi or Hertzian Type? The Milford Amateur Radio club had a very interesting and instructive in-structive lecture at their regular meeting Monday, February 18. The subject of antennas was discussed. dis-cussed. George S. Morris gave the members mem-bers to understand that just to have a wire strung up was the cause of poor reception in most cases. He explained that little or no attention was given to the kind of antenna used; that type, length and location had a great deal to do with proper reception. His lecture was supplemented with illustrations and examples of how to calculate the length of antenna an-tenna for certain frequencies, also the different harmonics were explained. |
